WebJun 21, 2016 · PA. I own a old, from late 80s B&K Sonata Series EX 442 Amplifier. It had a nice warm sound and had been compared to a "tube" like sound. It pushes 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms, so it has some heft. It still turns on and plays music but I am sure that many of its internal parts have past their age and / or could be upgraded. WebMar 16, 2001 · With the AVM2 and Ref 30, it's a question of which compromises you want to make. The Ref 30s panel is a bit tight for ICs. The Ref 30 doesn't have balanced outputs. The AVM-2 only has a single 5.1 bypass input, no stereo bypass unless you plug into the L&R of the 5.1 input. No plans for 7.1 or DPL 2 at this time.
